    • Objective: Introduction to underwater breathing, buoyancy, basic signals

TIDE Junior Diver (Ages 10-11)

  • Maximum depth: 10 meters
  • Supervision:
    • Always with a TIDE instructor or qualified supervising diver

Transition to Adult Certifications (Age 15+)

At age 15, all TIDE "Junior" certifications become TIDE Open Water with access to Tek specialties (Nitrox, Sidemount, CCR introduction...).

TIDE Customization

TIDE can integrate specific modules from an early age:

  • Introduction to rebreathers (CCR) from age 12, in open circuit/secured mode.
  • Drysuit diving from ages 10-11 for better adaptation to cold environments.
  • Progressive training in gas planning and redundancy from age 14 to prepare for more technical dives.

Why This TIDE Adaptation?

  • Progressive approach to avoid rushing children into excessive depths.
  • Technical inspiration and safety by early introduction to redundancy and planning concepts.
  • Solid foundation for transition to technical and hypoxic diving in adulthood.
